just volleyball on Steam Deck

What we can say

I looked through the Steam store HTML for app 5037200 on 27 October 2026 and did not see a Steam Deck compatibility block. A script could paint one after load, so this is “not in the HTML we fetched,” not a sworn absence for all time. A community wiki that day also listed Deck support as unknown. That matches the gap. It is not a test.

The only shipping target Steam lists is Windows. The demo asks for Vulkan or DirectX 12. Proton can translate those on a Deck, in theory. Theory is not a play session. This page will not say playable or unsupported until a Valve badge or a written test exists.

If you test it yourself

If the demo is still available, use its Steam listing; the full game is scheduled for 4 November 2026. We have not tested a Proton configuration and do not recommend a specific version. Record the configuration Steam selects before changing anything. The demo warns that forcing an OpenGL driver can make rendering inaccurate; that is not a Deck-specific fix.

Record the game build, Proton version, Deck OS build, and whether matches, online play, controls, and the Locker work. Separate boot success from sustained play. A later Valve rating should be reported alongside, not confused with, an independent test.

What would change the answer

A Steam Deck Verified, Playable, or Unsupported badge on the store page. Or a first-hand log with version numbers. Until one of those shows up, the status line stays unknown.

For other handheld PCs, check the installed operating system rather than assuming all handhelds run Windows. A Windows device can use the listed Windows build subject to its requirements. A SteamOS or other Linux device needs a compatibility layer for that build, with compatibility untested here. Hardware shape alone does not establish support.

Questions people ask

Does just volleyball work on Steam Deck?

Unknown. We did not find a Valve rating, and we did not find a ProtonDB report to cite on 27 October 2026.

Is it Verified?

The store HTML we checked had no Verified or Playable badge. A badge can be added later.

Should I force Proton?

Only if you are testing for yourself. A successful boot is not the same as a stable match, and we have not logged one.
